K-12 Schools in LA County to Reopen in Stage Three of Five-Stage Plan

PALOS VERDES ESTATES (May 8, 2020) Los Angeles County has issued a “Roadmap to Recovery” which outlines a five-stage reopening process based on risk.

This plan states that K-12 schools can reopen in Stage Three, with a date “To Be Determined” (TBD). As such, the District will focus its school reopening efforts on next year, and continue the distance learning model for the remainder of this calendar year.

At the next Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, May 13^th, at 6:30 pm, Superintendent Cherniss will update the Board of Education on reopening plans for next year as well as the financial crisis impacting California, K-12 public schools, and consequentially PVPUSD.  This meeting will be live-streamed for the public.
