COVID:
Please continue to be patient with us as we work through all of the new quarantine rules. There is a lot to manage and communicate. It definitely can be confusing, so if you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Please continue to work with us and communicate with us! We really appreciate the collaboration.
If you choose to get your students testing based on the requirements to end mask quarantine or the test to play requirements please make sure they are proctored. We cannot just receive a picture of the test results. We need the email or text message you receive from the company. Jane and I have plenty of tests at the moment. If you need one please let us know.
UPDATED QUARANTINE RULES and MASK GUIDELINES
Vaccine Clinic:
We have been hosting vaccine clinics every 3 weeks all fall. Please see the flyer below. There is one this Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm in the Elementary Gym. There will be Pediatric Pfizer doses available on Wednesday.
The health department is trying to gauge how many doses they will need on Wednesday. Please let us know if you plan on coming on Wednesday in the link below. If you change your mind that is fine. We just need a rough estimate. ONLY FILL THE FORM OUT IF YOU PLANNING TO ATTEND. The survey (1 question) only asks the number of children you plan on bringing ages 5 to 11.
I want to take this opportunity to clear the air on vaccine mandates for our students. We ARE NOT mandating the vaccine for students. A few people have mentioned that they heard that we are and this is 100% false. I have never made that comment. We are NOT mandating this for our students.
FAMILY FUN KNIGHT - This coming Wednesday, November 10th
Mark your calendars now and plan a night together as a family on Wednesday.
Otsego will once again be having a “family night” this fall. It will be on Wednesday, November 10th. The goal of Family Night is to encourage families to take the evening to focus on each other and spend time together as a family in whatever way works for your family. There will be NO homework, assignments, or tests the next day. One change this year is that the campus will be closed starting at 5 pm. There can be practices until 5 pm on Family Night. We hope you can take advantage of this night and celebrate being a family!
If you use Twitter and would like to post pictures or comments about the Otsego Family Night please use #FamKnight
Veterans Day Program - Flyer below. Breakfast starts at 8:15 for those that signed up and the program will begin at 9:15. Hope to see you there.

Safe School Helpline
Dear Parents, Students and Friends,
Recent polls show that parents’ first concern about schools today is their child’s safety. That is my concern as well. Fortunately, the Otsego is very safe. However, no community is immune from the threats of violence and drugs that endanger public schools nationwide.
We are introducing a Safe School Helpline® to help prevent such actions. It is designed to assist you in reporting any wrongdoing that impacts our schools, our students, or our staff – anonymously, so as to protect your privacy. For example, you may wish to report acts of violence, theft, drug or alcohol use, weapons, or sexual harassment.
Just call from a touch-tone phone to 1-800-4-1-VOICE, ext. 359 (418-6423) to leave your information. Or TEXT: 614-426-0240 Then type: TIPS Your message will not be traced, and you will not be identified. The Safe School Helpline® team will transcribe and fax your message to school officials, so appropriate action can be taken.
Thank you for your continued support to provide a better education for all Otsego students.
