Dear PVPUSD Parents and Families,
Remote Learning Surveys:
As our first full week of school comes to a close, we are working to formalize a survey regarding the remote learning experience. This survey, which should go out next week, will provide important insight into our current program and help us make future decisions in the best interest of students.
Elementary School Waivers:
LA County Department of Public Health has still not released their waiver applications or their criteria associated with the evaluation of these applications. As soon as we receive the application information we will be sure to engage the school board and the community as to the next steps.
Superintendent's Special Education Parent Advisory Committee
I am convening a Superintendent's Special Education Parent Advisory Committee. The purpose of this parent group is to inform myself and special education administration on the challenges our special education students face during this pandemic. This committee will meet with me remotely each month. Applications can be found at the following link and are due by September 13th. https://forms.office.com/
School Meal Service Update – All Meals Free!
The district is pleased to announce that beginning Tuesday, September 8th, any adolescent 18 years of age and under may pick-up a FREE breakfast and lunch! This program will run until Winter Break.
Curbside pick-up is Monday through Friday between 7:30am to 1:00pm at any of our five secondary sites. No pre-order required!

- Palos Verdes High School
- Palos Verdes Peninsula High School
All meals include a main entrée, choice of milk, and seasonal fruit and vegetable offerings. Parents and guardians may pick up meals on behalf of their child/children. The community-at-large is welcome and adolescents do not need to be enrolled in the district to participate.
