Superintendent's Update - September 4, 2020

"Putting Kids First"

Dear PVPUSD Parents and Families,

Remote Learning Surveys:

As our first full week of school comes to a close, we are working to formalize a survey regarding the remote learning experience.  This survey, which should go out next week, will provide important insight into our current program and help us make future decisions in the best interest of students.

Elementary School Waivers:

LA County Department of Public Health has still not released their waiver applications or their criteria associated with the evaluation of these applications.  As soon as we receive the application information we will be sure to engage the school board and the community as to the next steps.

Superintendent's Special Education Parent Advisory Committee

I am convening a Superintendent's Special Education Parent Advisory Committee.   The purpose of this parent group is to inform myself and special education administration on the challenges our special education students face during this pandemic.  This committee will meet with me remotely each month.   Applications can be found at the following link and are due by September 13th.   https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=alG_LzE4eUS6iIMJfbVyeWfXoAdoNlFIp1kIoTXsFilURTlUQVFETzFDSDZZTDJLVVY5OTBXU0xaQS4u
